MANUAL THERAPY

Mobilizations, manipulations and other manual techniques that combined with exercises, both strengthening and stretching, will lead to the recovery of balance and functionality of the injured area.

SPORTS PHYSIOTHERAPY

Treatment of all types of sports-related injuries. Accompaniment in the process back to its practice with correction of movements, strengthening of the muscles involved ( giving special importance to motor control ), tapings and advice ,necessary to prevent recurrences.

MCCONNELL METHOD

This manual therapy technique developed by Jennifer McConnell includes evaluation (static and dynamic), treatment, taping and exercises. It analyses the gait and movement in general, as well as the posture in order to detect the original problems of the symptomatology.

NEUROMUSCULAR TAPE

Adhesive tape is applied with several purposes as to alleviate and improve the contraction of weak muscles, scar tissues and circulation. It relieves pain, correct joint position and ligament problems and reduces inflammation.

WALKING ANALYSIS

Visual analysis of the gait. An alteration on the movements or the posture can be a reason for problems in the knees, hips and lumbar-pelvic area.

PRE AND POST-SURGICAL THERAPY

Prior to any surgical intervention (shoulder or knee arthroscopy, hip or knee prothesis…) it is recommended to follow a pre-surgical therapy program, as it has been proven that the improvement post-op is quicker and the results may be even better. It is also essential that a specific treatment is followed after the intervention.

ELECTROTHERAPY AND ULTRASOUND

Electrotherapy- Use of electric currents (always accompanying other techniques) for pain relief, muscle elongation and muscle enhancement (really useful after surgeries that lead to significant muscular atrophy, neuropathies and chronic pain.

Ultrasound-Applicable for relaxation of muscle contractures, reduction of inflammation (sprains, tendonitis..) and acceleration of healing ( sprain, fibrillar tears..). This is specially efective when combined with other manual therapies.

RESPIRATORY PHYSIOTHERAPY

This is aimed at adult patients with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma and for after pulmonary and cardiac surgery.

Specially recommended for patients with difficulty in breathing and general weakness after coronavirus .

PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR PATIENTS WITH NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEMS
